There’s a timeless beauty in watching poppies dance in the wind, and this torn paper collage was created to capture that moment. Every element in the piece comes from my own hand-painted artwork — from the vibrant red flowers to the green abstract background that represents the leaves and stems. Layered with torn watercolour papers and other painted fragments, the composition becomes a whimsical floral collage full of movement, texture, and joy, much like a field of poppies swaying in the breeze.
Materials used: watercolour paper, mixed media papers, acrylic paints, inks, pencil, drywall tape, wood panel, matte medium, Mod Podge, wire for the back, and sealant
