Original torn paper collage on paper
After The Rain is an original torn paper collage. I first paint complete abstract works on paper, then tear those paintings apart and reassemble the pieces into a new design. Lime, yellow, teal, and deep green pool through the white where the torn edges open.
Texture is built with layered torn paper and drywall tape. The tape adds a mesh you can see and feel.
Materials: painted papers, mixed-media papers, acrylic, ink, drywall tape, collage on paper.
