Birthday Card Sets
Costco used to sell a box of cards that all had that handmade look to them. I used to buy one every year because I loved how whimsical they were and how awesome it was to have cards available whenever I needed one especially when my kids were little. It was so great not to have to run to the store every time you needed a card. This was of course, before I started creating my own cards.
Nowadays with social media and email people have become a little less personal with cards and I truly think we need to bring back sending or giving a good old card!
Until recently, I haven’t promoted my cards much. I missed creating them so I revived my card-making skills. I love that through Art of Where I can make a selection of greeting cards and sell them keeping everything Canadian Made! So if you want a selection of whimsical greeting cards for a few different occasions, I can provide them. Blank floral or abstract cards are perfect to have around for those who just need a card but it doesn’t have to be specific occasion cards.
Love and Valentines
I’ve created a few new love-themed greeting card designs that could be used just because, or for Valentine’s Day which is coming up. These designs are all designed using my collaged heart elements, which I enjoyed creating.
I have a large selection of hearts and love-themed cards available. To check them all out click here.
Behind The Torn Edges
This is a space where I go behind the torn edges, but some may wonder what the “torn edges” represent.
For me, the torn edges represent life.
The frayed edges reflect the delicate fragility of life itself. Their unevenness mirrors our paths, which are rarely smooth and often unpredictable.
For me, tearing paper is not about destruction but more about creation. We can create beauty from broken things.
As much as I find joy in creating my abstract works on paper I find great joy in tearing them up to create larger, more playful, and colourful works to live on the walls in people's homes.
