The Torn Edges of Life Are Beautiful
Mixing the bits and pieces of art and life
![]() The time is approaching where we honour our Mothers and our Fathers. They each have their own day according to Hallmark. That said, every day should be about our parents as if it weren't for them, we wouldn't have life. Whether or not you have a good relationship with your parents, they created you and for that you should be grateful. Parenting isn't easy. People watch from the sidelines and are forever offering "tips" and "advice" on how to parent and what they would do. It doesn't seem to stop at any given age either. Some who give advice have children of their own and others do not. Regardless, I think what works for some doesn't necessarily work for others and we need to respect the differences in how we parent and simply raise our own to the best of our abilities. If we are raising our own children we also must remember that our parents were in our shoes at one point as were their parents before them. Times change. What was working in 1942 may not work now. Does it make it better or worse, nope...just different. I have created a bunch of new cards geared towards Moms and Dads. I didn't want to define these cards as birthday cards, Mother's Day or Father's Day cards because I think they can be given at any time; although they can certainly be given for those occasions. I don't know anyone who doesn't love to go to their mail box and have it have something personal in it oppose to just bills! I was lucky enough to have gone to my mailbox the other day and had one of those "just because" cards sitting in my mailbox and wow, did it ever brighten my day! The funniest part was that it was one of my own cards too! Love that! My newest designs featured below can be found in my "All Occasion" section. There is also a couple other new cards in the "Birthday" section too which are for Moms and Dads! My Mother's Day and Father's Day specific cards can be found under the "Special Occasion" tab.
