The thoughts we often take for granted are the every day thoughts. The ones that float through our brains without really much thought. They are the ones that tell you the flowers are gorgeous or the sky is oh so blue. They are the thoughts that you need a nap in the middle of the day or you really should be focusing on something different than what you are doing. After spending a fair bit of time with my Grandma this past week I can assure you if she could hold one thought in her head without it being jumbled before it leaves her mouth she would be thrilled. We take for granted the ability to talk and think without a disconnect. I have seen the frustration and anger that emerges when this ability doesn't come easily. So when going about your days, remember to cherish and be grateful for the every day thoughts that float through your brain knowing you are still able to control them.
I had never heard of The Compassionate Courier project before Daphne contacted me. I was beyond thrilled to participate in the Compassionate Courier monthly boxes after speaking with Daphne and having her share her passion with me.
I am always so touched knowing my work helps to bring a smile or some form of joy to someone. When people are grieving their souls are smushed and often finding joy in the day to day things is really really hard. Knowing my work can provide a bit of comfort to someone during a difficult time means the world to me. My hope for those individuals receiving my work is that they will find something in the words or design that resonates with them and gives them hope for a better tomorrow.
